The voice of “Dropout Nation”

When Guadalupe Sayers, a sophomore at South High School in Minneapolis, wanted to learn about why high school students dropout of school, she didn’t have to go far — all she had to do was ask her sister.

“I had a lot of things going on,” Sayers’ sister explained in a Youth Radio report for KFAI Radio in Minneapolis. “I was pregnant with my first baby and working at grocery store.”

You can listen to Sayers’ full report here.
